Rules for Writing Content for websites

1)    One article should be written to target only one primary keyword. If you have one more secondary keyword it should be more in the line of the primary key word and not entirely on different subject.

2)    Once you decided the keyword(s) then you can open your KA (Keyword Advantage) and click on the content tab and enter that keyword and pull the related articles for that keyword from multiple sources.

3)    Open more articles from the collected once from the KA and collect the interesting lines and put on a word doc.

4)    Google the keyword(s) you want to target and go through top 5 to 10 listings to see what kind of articles are getting the top listing for that keywords and see if any good pointers can be learned or adopted from those listings and if so mark on the word doc where you are collecting the data for this article.

5)    Google demands few things in the articles that are being posted as listed below and your goal is to make sure they are satisfied.

a)    Does your article be useful to the reader or just rubbish writing?

b)    Does your article provide in depth understanding?

c)    Does your article have the right flow of information and presentation?

d)    Is your article error free in terms of spelling and grammar?

e)    Is your article copy free?

6)    Your goal is rewrite the content you have accumulated into good 500 to 750 words article (750 words much preferred). You want to make sure all Google needs are honored and taken care. As the tool gives you all the content needed in any given topic, it should not be difficult as all you have to do is to rewrite and make it copy free.

7)    After placing the content in right sequence you can also use http://smallseotools.com/article-rewriter/ to get the article rewritten. Always check for grammar and spelling and presentation after these activities.

8)    Make sure your article is split into paragraphs and sub headings to make sure your content flow and presentation comes nice. Now it is important for you to do copy check using http://www.duplichecker.com/ and correct any duplicate content found.  Then once the article goes live, make sure to do one more copy check using http://www.copyscape.com/  and make sure there is duplicate or copied content used in your article.

9) Make sure hardly 2% key word density is maintained in any of the given article and also keyword(s) should be used in first and last paragraph and preferably in first and last line.
 
10) Make sure to send all your articles for this site for supervisory approval.

11) Add proper Meta tags, description and title tags. Primary and secondary key word should be present in title tag.

a)    Meta Key word can be one or max with one primary and one secondary keyword so choose it right using KA

b)    One quality article needed to be written per key word (per web page)

c)    Article title should be starting with the keyword

d)    Page url will have the keyword

e)    Article will start the paragraph with the keyword and end the paragraph with the keyword.

f)     Title Tag must be max 70 Characters and should accurately describe the page and need to have the keyword in the beginning and must be readable

g)    Title Tag’s suggested format can be either of the following

1)    Primary Keyword  – Secondary related phrase

2)    Primary Keyword + Descriptor

h)   Title Description should be max 155 characters and must have the keyword and should be condensed explanation about the page and well presented as this attracts the user to click.

i)     Guideline for keyword Tag is (format) : page keyword,  Core keyword

12) Understand Content is the king and Good content with good presentation with right keyword density will get the Google ranking and traffic.

13) Make sure that you are giving internal links to pages of the website and the affiliate products from appropriate keywords and anchor text.

14) Finish the page with a call to action from the user to click here for more product information and customer reviews.

15) Always follow the 60-30-10 formula by having

  1. 60% generic bio link (eg. Click here, for more info, or bio author name etc)
  2.  30% – Key phrase i.e., it contains at least one keyword. (eg. If keyword is heart rate monitor, the anchor text will be “For more information on heart rate monitor, please click here.”)
  3. 10% – core Keyword. Eg. (“Heart rate monitor”.)
